Racing engines always sound 1000x better than production engines, but yes this is in fact an inline 4.

Wow. Did not expect Porsche to go the turbo route. While in reality the V8 from the 918 probably really never was in consideration (it's based of their LMP2 V8 that hadn't been in use since 2010), so honestly thought they would go the NA route. Still, that turbo engine sounds pretty damn good.

Audi R18 are really silent. I saw they racing in Sao Paulo and most you can hear is a Woosh from the wind noise. It's very cool but lacks the thunder you expect from a racing car. Toyotas otherwise are more in race car noise territory.
Glad to see that Porsches will have some good music too.
